Description

It is a dark, fleshy, wet-looking creature that looks like a massive leech. They are usually encountered in sets of 2-3. They are medium sized and have a giant crevice like mouth.

First Appearance

Leeches are encountered in a winding series of hallways late into the Grand Bulim Avenue train station, just before the Shoggoth King eel of the Abyss battle.

Behavior

The leech does a small amount of damage, and has a very small amount of health. They will typically appear in hordes, and they are able to pass through walls, making it easy for a careless player to be quickly overwhelmed. Luring one will also attract the others around it within a radius.

Combat

Due to the leech's low health, it will usually only take a single headshot from the pistol to kill them. Backing away as it follows you can give the player the opportunity to line up a shot.

Approach a group slowly to attract as few as possible at a time, then pick them off, letting you have a chance to regenerate health if low. Once they notice the player, they will pursue you until they are either killed or they kill you.

Trivia

  • The Leech's tongue is a hand with a razor blade
